Justin Edwards

Principal Justin Edwards is a dedicated educational leader with 16 years of service in Fort Worth ISD, where he has spent his entire career impacting student achievement and school communities. Beginning in 2010, Mr. Edwards started as an 8th grade math teacher at William James Middle School, where he built a strong foundation in instructional practice and student engagement.
He later served as a Data Analyst and Assistant Principal at Southwest High School, gaining valuable experience in using data to drive instructional decisions and improve campus performance. His leadership continued to develop as Dean of Instruction at the Young Men’s Leadership Academy, where he focused on instructional excellence and teacher development.

Mr. Edwards went on to serve as Principal of Morningside Middle School for four years, leading initiatives to strengthen academic outcomes and campus culture. He currently serves as Principal of Dunbar High School, a role he has held for the past five years, where he is committed to advancing student success, fostering a positive school environment, and building strong partnerships with the community.

He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Learning from Eastern Michigan University in 2009 and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington. Throughout his career, Principal Edwards has remained dedicated to educational excellence and the success of every student in Fort Worth ISD.
